Tashkent University visits PratikaGroup to train footwear technologists
A delegation from TITLP visited the companies Tecon and PratikaGroup in Italy.
In Uzbekistan, particular attention is dedicated to training qualified technologists and mechanical engineers for the leather and footwear industry, which is developing rapidly. In this process, an important role is played by the extensive use of foreign experience.
Today, the leather and footwear sector has become one of the drivers of the national economy. In recent years, major investment projects have been implemented and modern production capacities have been created. However, there remains a shortage of qualified technologists and engineers capable of meeting the growing needs of companies.
In order to increase the effectiveness of the dual training system implemented at the institute, a delegation from the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry (TITLP), led by First Vice-Rector B. Nasimov, visited the companies Tecon and PratikaGroup, located in the Italian city of Florence.
During the meetings, it was emphasized that the process of training specialists for the leather and footwear sector requires the introduction of new approaches and modern educational technologies. In this context, TITLP, together with the Italian companies Tecon and PratikaGroup, is implementing a new project aimed at training and retraining mid-level technical personnel.
During the talks, issues were discussed regarding the creation of a mini-factory for the production of women’s sample footwear, the possibilities of supplying appropriate equipment for training modern personnel, as well as the prospects for expanding cooperation between the institute, Italian partners and domestic manufacturers.
